7 Strategies to Reclaim Your Schedule
and Become a Time Management Ninja
Let's keep it real this is not easy.
Being a female business owner and a mom can be a juggling act while walking on a tightrope balancing the demands of entrepreneurship, and growing a team with the responsibilities of motherhood.
Some days speed by like a runaway train and you are left feeling like where is the rest of my precious time?
Time is a precious commodity, and maximizing productivity and efficiency is key to thriving in both roles.
In this guide, I'll explore actionable strategies to help female business owners regain control of their schedules and achieve more in less time.
Let's delve into the world of productivity and unlock your full potential.
1. Assess Your Time
Identifying time-wasting activities and understanding your time usage patterns. One of the very first things we work on when I began working with a new VIP one-to-one coaching client is assessing your time and identifying all the time-wasting activities. Once we identify these patterns we are able to make subtle shifts and changes that create huge results without feeling like extra work. It's like the big Domino when you know which one to push it knocks everything else out of your way. once you find and assess your biggest time wasters you can build a foundation that optimizes your productivity so that it feels in alignment with Your Purpose and Your Vision and Mission. If you don't have a business growth strategist like me or business coach that you meet with often to help you identify these major obstacles and roadblocks. You can use my Daily Beyond Common Success Planner inside the FREE 12 Essentials checklist to get yourself started on identifying where your biggest time wasters are hiding.
2. Set Clear Goals and Priorities:
As a mompreneur, defining clear goals is crucial to maintaining focus and direction. Start by listing short-term and long-term objectives for both your business and personal life. Break these goals into actionable steps and prioritize them based on importance and deadlines. Having a well-organized goal structure will give you a roadmap to follow, enabling you to make the most of your time. A great way to do this is the Beyond Common Goal Setting Guide and Training. https://www.beyondcommonbusinesssecrets.com/goals
Create a Structured Daily Routine:
Establishing a daily routine helps bring order and stability to your busy life. Plan your day in advance, allocating specific time slots for work, family, self-care, and other activities. Having a structured routine not only increases productivity but also allows you to dedicate quality time to your family without neglecting your business.
3. Delegate and Outsource Tasks:
Supermom syndrome is real, but it's essential to recognize that you can't do everything alone. Delegate household chores and other non-essential tasks to family members or consider outsourcing them.
Similarly, outsourcing certain business tasks, such as administrative work or social media management, can free up your time to focus on high-priority activities, making you more efficient in your business.
Practice the art of asking for what you want and allowing the support to show up for you. Be open to receiving and thinking of creative ways to delegate and outsource. Many of my clients and students struggle with this one and maybe you do to because you may have been told your whole life just to figure it out and don't bother or burden anyone. We have found that the more fun you have in this area, the easier it will become to delegate and trust that everything will work out.
4. Utilize Technology and Productivity Tools:
Embrace technology to your advantage. Consider all of these modern technology advances your friend in productivity. There is a vast array of productivity tools available that can streamline your work and personal life. Project management apps like Trello or Clickup can help you stay organized, while time management tools like Toggl and Clickup can track your work hours efficiently. Additionally, consider using social media management tools to schedule posts in advance, saving time for other important tasks. A few of my favorites are FG All in One Digital, Ocoya, and Promo Republic
5. Set Boundaries and Learn to Say No:
As a mom who is also an entrepreneur and business owner it's vital to establish boundaries and learn to say no when necessary. Overcommitting yourself can lead to burnout and reduced productivity.
And burnout is widespread across the globe. A new study reported by Forbes Magazine looked at over 10,000 knowledge workers across seven countries, and found approximately 70% of people experienced burnout in the last year.
Learning to master the art of politely declining projects or engagements that don't align with your goals or allow you to grow your profits. Be clear about not taking on projects that overwhelm your schedule and do not deliver a return. By setting boundaries, you'll create a healthier work-life harmony and stop chasing balance so you can have more time for your family and personal growth.
6. Optimize Your Workspace:
Create a dedicated workspace where you can focus on your business tasks without distractions. Keep it organized and clutter-free to enhance your efficiency. Ensure that your workspace reflects your personality and motivates you to work productively. A well-designed workspace can make a significant difference in your overall productivity. This includes your physical and digital workspace when you set the stage for how you work best in your space everything flows with ease and you are able to accomplish so much more.
7. Practice Mindfulness and Self-Care:
Taking care of yourself is essential for maintaining high productivity levels. Practice mindfulness techniques like meditation or deep breathing to reduce stress and improve focus. One of the best ways I have found to stay mindful and focused is the Pathway to Miracles
Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and sufficient sleep are crucial for staying energized and maintaining mental clarity. Remember, a healthy and happy business leader and mom is a more productive one. Here are a few of my favorite meditations Mediate to Activate
