How to Overcome writers Block

How to overcome writer's block no matter what you need to write!

Do you struggle with writer's block or coming up with great stuff to write about? Whether you're trying to create content for growing your business? Or you're somebody that aspires to write a book or you need to come up with blog content. Do you struggle with writing of any kind in any area of your business?

I know I have in the past. Hello, my name is Tracey Watts Cirino and I am the author of Beyond Common. 12 Essentials for success in life and in the workplace and the founder of Beyond Common Coaching and training company. And let's face it in today's ever-changing business Market. We all have to come up with great writing and we cannot suffer from writer's block and things that take us off our course. So we need to be able to consistently write in a way that connects with our audience. One of the things that I always hear.

From people, my book Beyond Common 12 Essentials for Success in Life and in the Workplace is that I write  as if we're sitting down and having coffee or tea with you. Or like it's a one-on-one coaching session the way it feels like we are sitting down having a chat. I wrote it that way so I can really help serve my readers and my clients. I just like to break everything  down into a very simple process.

So if you want to write very simple and make things very conversational.

Here is how to make it easy so that it feels like we're having coffee and that your writing is conversational. I honestly don't know any other way to be, I just like to invite everyone into a conversation that welcomes you in to sit down and chill while we chat. 🤗🤗🤗🤗

Did that make sense? I hope so. Here is how I do it.

I ask a lot of questions like..

How are you? Are you following me? And you're picking up what I am putting down 😂😂, or when I'm trying to really understand what someone's going through, I'm going to ask a lot of Very specific questions that help you drill down and figure out any problems. So, I write the same way and I want to share that with you guys.

Here's the writing process, I broke it down into a few simple steps that you can use, no matter what type of content you're trying to create, you want to write your novel, you want to write an ebook, you want to write the script for your podcast, your social media captions for the week, you know, whatever it is.

We can use this process. It is funny though because people are always like tell me how do you do that? I don't really think I can be any other way. I think it may be one of my super powers because it is so natural for me.

So to pull back the curtain and show you the process. I think about the layers to my writing process and the most simple way I could come up with for you.

Is this....I broke it down into five simple things.

So the first thing I ask myself, when I'm going to begin writing, is that's just for easy sake. Let's say it's going to be a blog post because you know, blog posts can also be repurposed as your social media content.

The writing process.

The first thing I would ask myself is how can I help?

What can I personally do to serve that market and really help my client?

That's the first thing.

Number two is, what is my client struggling with? So I'm going to say, hmm, what's their current challenge, struggle, or obstacle that they're really going through at this moment in time?

Number three is, what does she want instead? What does she really want?

Here's the struggle, what's the alternative? So being really clear on painting that picture of what I really want. I need to know that.

Number four is I will ask myself, have I struggled with that in my past? and then number five is what is the solution that I have now come up with? Or I have found the solution by Hiring a bunch of people to help me solve this problem. Or who are the experts that have solved this problem?

So when you break it down into those five, simple things, I think you can write anything and it takes the pressure off of you that you have to do something that is so amazing with your writing. To break these down for you even further, we're going to dive into breaking each one down.

number one is, how can I help? So obviously we talked about how we have Beyond Common  12 Essentials for success in life in the workplace. One of the things we noticed was that people who love this book. Say I love it. I just don't know how to apply it and I really want to.

So, what came out of that is how can I help, how can I get people, the help they need. They need to be in the mindset to start applying the essentials. We came up with the goal setting guidebook training and quick start training to help you get your mindset right. That's why we have the goal setting guidebook training.

It's the first step that gets you ready. So your mindset is in the right place that you can really apply, what the next steps are, Can I help? While listening and really, being present with what your customers and your clients really need, that is how the amazing goals setting guidebook training come to be.

When you apply that you're going to come up with number two, what's my client struggling with? We figured out that it was mindset and help with daily habits and rituals that set people up for more successful days.

We asked how do you set yourself up for ultimate success?

I mean, there's so many things we need here. You need to have a morning routine where your mind gets clear and you're in the game, you need to eat right, You need to exercise. You need to surround yourself with people that lift you up. There's a million things. But that's how we discovered this. Then, what does she want inside? We know that our ideal client, the female business owner, is who we help. She wants to feel that she's making a difference, that her business is profitable, that she's growing a team of people that are highly engaged and highly motivated to serve their clients from the greatest place of good. We know that having people around and on her team that support her company mission and vision is what she really wants.

So a lot of it is knowing your ideal client, you serve so that you can write for them. That's all. And then when you think about asking,

What does she want instead?

number four I ask, have I struggled with that in the past?

Yes, I absolutely have. So I was able to say, hey long ago before I started making my morning routine and my mindset stuff a priority, I did kind of get stuck in the loop and struggle where it  wasn't as easy to apply the Beyond Common Success Essentials. So knowing that is really much easier and then you're writing to that degree. Then the next step is what's my solution?

The solution we came up with was the goal setting guidebook and then some people totally loved it but wanted an even quicker win. So now we have three different levels of goal setting success training. We have the quick start so you're going to get a quick win with your goal setting And then you have the Deep dive of the Beyond Common goal-setting guidebook and video training and then we have a group goal setting accelerator. These are all things that come before putting the Beyond Common 12 Essentials into your everyday life. Then if you already have this, and you’re  like , wait a minute. My goals are off, you can still go to the Beyond Common Success Essentials and they work together beautifully and they work separately. If you want to create the dynamic duo, where you're really setting yourself up for Success, the goal-setting guidebook training, and the Beyond Common 12 Essentials for success in life, and in the workplace work together the best. That's what's so amazing about it. It is all up to you with how much support you need. We are here to help because we listen to what clients need most.

This is why I think it is a very simple writing process, it really allows you to be serving your clients the same way we do and it keeps things so simple.

So, that's how you go into that writing process. Really deep dive on understanding how you can write in a conversational way, that's going to make your clients feel like, I'm just sitting down and having coffee with her. How awesome. I hope you enjoyed this blog and it helps you with your writer's block.
