What are you doing to Share the Love on Random Acts of Kindness Day on Wednesday, February 17, 2021?

Hi!  I'm Tracey Watts Cirino, author of Beyond Common 12 Essentials for Success in Life and in the Workplace and founder of Beyond Common Coaching and Training Company. I love helping business owners get clarity and focus in their life in business by using their strengths, to achieve Beyond Common results.

And today, I wanted to do something different -- I wanted to share some thoughts about Random Acts of Kindness Day, which is February 17th and was created by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation with the intention of encouraging more harmony and kindness between people by offering thoughtful gestures of kindness, no matter how big or small.

An act of kindness could include doing something nice for someone, an animal, an organization, the planet, or yourself!  Be innovative and imagine the possibilities of what you could do!

Best of all, most of the ideas are low cost or free and will impact others in a positive way.

Here are just a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing:

Identify a cause you believe in and make a small donation -- whether it's a local Church, animal shelter, or local organization doing the work of angels.  Your support makes a huge difference!

Pay it forward and pay for the person behind you in line at Starbucks, the car wash, the toll both, or any other drive-thru. Randomly helping out another person makes you feel so good. I highly recommend you give it a try.

Re-connect with a long lost friend or relative you haven't heard from in a while with a card or letter or phone call.

Doing laundry can be expensive for those in need. Drop by a Laundromat and surprise someone and leave extra quarters next to a washer and dryer.

Reach out and thank one of your friends or family members and identify one of their qualities you admire most -- their creativity, writing skills, parenting techniques, and write a paragraph or two about WHY you admire them so much!

Praise a local business online!  Small businesses work hard to earn your business and really appreciate the positive feedback.  So when a local company goes above and beyond, let the world know with a positive post that you share on any and all of your social media channels online!

Teachers could ask your students to draw examples of random acts of kindness or illustrate what kindness means to them. This will be so touching to see.

Write a Positive Review online about your favorite local business. You could write it on the business Google page, or yelp page, or even their Facebook or neighborhood app page. This does wonders to help support your favorite local businesses, like hair salons, local boutiques, dental offices, accounting firms, yoga studios, marketing agencies, restaurants, and just about every other local business.

Similarly, do you know about Good Deeds Day?  There's also an organization dedicated to spreading good cheer and good deeds each year -- this year's Good Deeds day is April 11th, https://www.good-deeds-day.org/

And finally, I couldn't end this blog without repeating a common theme from my earlier writing:

Be kind to yourself!  You are your company's most valuable asset, so treat yourself that way!  Consider giving yourself the gift of personal and professional development and invest in yourself!

I believe you are so worth it and I'm making available my goal setting guidebook for FREE so you can achieve your goals and have a great year ahead!
